Family wellbeing at CAT this August Bank Holiday

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) near Machynlleth continues its summer programme of events by hosting a nature-based wellbeing themed day for families on August Bank Holiday Monday.

The day will comprise a variety of fun and engaging ways for the whole family to reconnect with nature. Join a kids’ yoga session and learn how to move like the animals of the forest, close your eyes and be guided into a nature-focused meditation or create a beautiful mandala using natural materials.

John Challen, head of CAT’s Eco Centre, said: “Connecting with nature is the first step on a personal journey towards a sustainable lifestyle and learning to understand and appreciate the natural world can happen through all sorts of activities and begin at any age.

“The ‘Wild Wellbeing’ day is a great way to begin for not only are the activities calming and enjoyable for the families, they also teach something so essential at the same time.’’
