Set on the magnificent Cardigan coast, Clarach Bay is an award-winning beach known for its stunning views and as one of the best places to spot dolphins in Wales. North Wales is well known for its excellent water sports and Clarach Bay is no different with visitors enjoying surfing, windsurfing and kayaking. The beach is perfect for all seaside visitors though; and whilst water sport enthusiasts love the sea conditions, sunbathers can still enjoy a tranquil atmosphere.
If you are looking for the more traditional, larger Welsh beaches then Aberystwyth beach is one of the best beaches in Wales, located just 10 minutes away from Green Meadow Holiday Home Park. Aberystwyth is a sand and shingle beach, and a favourite by both locals and visitors each year for its traditional seaside pleasures such as donkey rides, homemade ice cream and plenty of sandcastles. It is another great beach for Dolphin spotting in Wales, particularly in early summer months as they head south to New Quay.
If you feel like an excursion, Penbryn Beach is one of the best beaches in Wales. Described as a hidden gem by The National Trust, this mile of golden sands is worth the hours’ drive for a day of uninterrupted serenity. The little light pollution in this area makes Penbryn a wonderful place to drive to at dusk to admire the stars above the ocean.
Another beach worth the drive for a day out is National Trust Beach, Mwnt, a golden cove nestled along the Ceredigion coast. This golden cove is less than 2 hours drive from the park and is a truly unspoilt treasure cushioned into the Ceredigion coast. Some of the best beaches in Wales lie on the Mid Wales coastline which makes the Green Meadow Holiday Home Park the ideal place for coastal holidays.
