Ceredigion Coast Path

For a stunning coasting walking holiday in Wales, visit the Ceredigion Coast Path. This 60 mile path boasts a varied landscape, including views of Snowdonia as well as the stunning coasts of Cardigan Bay. The section of the Ceredigion Coast Path closest to the holiday homes is Cardigan to Aberporth. This 11 mile route will take you along the river, farmland and countryside, and seafronts; the diversity of this scenery is endless and packed full of amazing wildlife too.

Taking a reverse route of the Ceredigion Coast Path, you can walk along the spectacular Aberystwyth to Borth walking trail. This lovely coastal walk is a modest 5 mile route along a footpath through the beach and cliffs, including the cliffs of Craig y Delyn. This is a moderate walking route but can be extended for walking experts by continuing on to the beautiful Dyfi Natural Nature Reserve.

Devil’s Bridge Falls

Devil’s Bridge Falls, a site of natural beauty and an attraction famous across the world, is just 12 miles from Aberystwyth. These beautiful waterfalls, enveloped by the Cambrian Mountains, make for one of the most breath-taking trails for walking holidays in Wales. The bridges are a popular attraction at the falls, with three built on top of one another there are no bridges like this anywhere else in the world.

The walking trails then take you through tranquil wood gorges where you can soak up the mystical beauty from viewing gazebos. You will then get to gaze at the stunning 300ft waterfalls and the ‘punchbowl’. The punchbowl is a natural marvel whereby the water from the river has carved magnificent potholes into the rock. Poet William Wordsworth was so inspired by his visit to Devil’s Bridge Falls that he dedicated a poem to it, ‘To the Torrent at Devil’s Bridge Falls’.
